Mungalla 4080 is the standout sire of this year's MAGS draft. He is represented by 10 sons - Lots 6, 19, 22, 25, 28 45, 49, 65, 85 and 88. In his first calf crop, 2 of his sons sold at last year's MAGS sale for $16,000 and $9,000 and 23 of his daughters sold through the Legacy sale in October. 17 of his daughters will be retained by the stud, a testament to his breeding and quality progeny. The stud has also retained 2 of his son's. He is by the $100,000 Billabong Hendrix, the top priced Droughtmaster bull of 2019. In 2020, Hendrix semen set a new Droughtmaster Record at $8000 for 5 straws. In his 3 years at Mungalla, Hendrix's progeny fetched over $295,000 including Mungalla 4076 and Mungalla 4095 who sold for $45,000 and $22,000 respectively at MAGS 2022. His exceptional temperament, structure, volume, length, excellent fertility and overall sire appeal made him a real standout and we were very sorry to lose him in early 2022. His dam, Mungalla 3241, is  KEY cow. She has produced 5 calves in 6 years from the age of 2, including 2 MAGS bulls.

Mungalla 4257 produced 2 calves in 2 years from the age of 3 before being sold earlier this year. Aside from her MAGS son, her daughter was also sold earlier this year for breeding purposes. Her sire, Mungalla bred 2872, has produced several retained females and MAGS bulls that have sold up to $10,000. Her dam, Mungalla 3356, had 4 calves for the stud including 2 daughters who have been sold for breeding.
