Her sire, Mungalla Totem, was a consistent breeder of high quality progeny including Mungalla Edgar, an impact sire retained by the stud and several other MAGS bulls. There are still a number of his daughters in the herd.
The dam of Mungalla 1844, Mungalla 1396, is a key cow and was used in the 2020 IVF program, resulting in 12 calves, totalling 22 progeny for her lifetime. She has produced many MAGS bulls and daughters retained by the herd.
